Seasonal Servicing
Complete end‑of‑season sail care to keep your sails performing at their best. We offer laundry (see bellow), inspection, repairs, and safe dry storage. Extending the life of your sails and making sure that when you get out in the new season you are ready to go with no snags. Drop them off at the end of the season and pick them up ready to hoist in spring. We can even remove and refit the sails for you for the ultimate rockstar experience (please see removal and refit below) Terms and Conditions apply.
Inspection and storage between 01/10 till 31/03
£35 per sail for inspection for yachts up to 35 feet LOA
£45 per sail for inspection for yachts 35-45ft LOA

Sail Laundry
Sails face some of the UK’s harshest conditions. Salt, moisture, pollution, bird droppings and mildew all work their way into the fibres, leaving gear looking tired and accelerating wear. Our specialist cleaning service removes salt, dirt and contamination to restore appearance and help protect the fabric, keeping your sails in the best possible condition.
£7.00 per kilo for sail cleaning. There is a minimum charge of £30.00
We also offer a mould and mildew treatment as an add on at a cost of £6.50 per kilo on top of the cleaning cost.
Repairs
Straightforward, professional sail repairs charged at a simple hourly rate. JS Sails & Covers handles everything from small tears and seam restitching to panel and hardware replacement. Every repair is carried out with care, accuracy, and high‑quality materials.

UV Strip Replacement
High‑quality UV strip replacement to protect your genoa and extend its lifespan. We remove old, damaged UV strips and fit new, durable UV protection using Weathermax the best material for the job. Every strip is cut, stitched, and aligned for a clean finish and long‑lasting defence against sun damage. A fresh UV strip keeps your sail stronger for longer and prevents costly repairs down the line.

Emergency Repairs
Fast, reliable emergency sail repairs to get you back on the water without delay. JS Sails & Covers offers priority repair services for race damage, cruising mishaps, torn sails, failed stitching, and hardware failures. We assess the sail immediately, carry out essential repairs, and aim for a 24 hour or less turnaround whenever possible. Whether you’re mid‑regatta or preparing for a passage, we’ll get your sail safe, strong, and ready to hoist again.
